Cherry Berries
Many people think that the Coffee Bean is something that grows on a bush or tree. While this is true it is really a seed found within the Berry, called a Cherry Berry.
Here are some coffee cherries in various stages of ripeness. Only the red are harvested. They go from green to red and when they are red they are ready to be harvested. These are the world Famous Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee Cherry Berry, No Jamaican coffee berry is picked before it is properly ripe.
