From the beginning, people have taken culinary joy in experimenting with flavorings for coffee. A bit of chocolate here, a sprinkle of cinnamon there, sugar, the juice of a cherry -- and coffee becomes an entirely new experience. All of our flavored coffees are 100% Arabica specialty or gourmet grade beans, just like we sell here, which are combined with the best-quality all natural flavorings. General information about flavored coffee. Our flavored coffee is made from the same great gourmet coffee we sell and then add 100% all natural flavor oils to bring you a great cup of coffee. Our flavorings are made with the highest quality raw materials. Here is a Video of our Flavored Coffee being mixed up. We mix large batches of our most popular coffee, and mix others in smaller containers. Here we are making our most popular flavored coffee Jamaican Me Crazy. Flavored coffees were originally developed as a way for wholesalers to use less expensive, lower quality coffees or when coffee prices escalated like they did in the early 1970šs. It hasn't been until recently that Gourmet Quality Beans with High Quality flavorings have became very popular and higher quality coffees are being used by some providers. The quality of the coffee bean in flavored coffee is just as important as it is in regular coffee. Without high quality coffee beans your just masking an inferior flavor. With a high quality coffee the flavor that is added enhances the flavors of the coffee adding to the wonderful experience. We also adjust the kind of coffee we use to make a particular flavored coffee. We have found, through testing, that one kind of coffee might not be the best to use to make a particular flavored coffee. Trying different flavors on a variety of different coffees till we find the perfect match becomes an art form. Using the right kind of coffee with the right kind of flavoring makes for a perfect flavored coffee. We firmly believe that flavored coffee should be a coffee that is enhanced by the flavoring that is added. To that end using all natural flavorings we have found, through testing, produce a much better flavored coffee than substitute flavorings. Synthetic flavors are great at covering the flavor of the coffee, and if used in small doses can achieve a enhancement of inferior coffee, but when all natural flavorings are used with superior beans you end up with a combination flavored coffee that makes for a special treat or a regular taste treat. The amount of flavoring is also critical to produce a great flavored coffee. We experiment and have found that using less than the manufacturer suggests produces the best flavoring for the coffee. Leaving the fine rich flavor of the coffee and enhancing it with the flavor we are adding to make the flavored coffee it's best. We continue to develop new and even more interesting flavored coffees. One thing you can be certain about our flavored coffees is that they will be simply the best and most widely tested in our tasting house and among our workers long before we offer it for sale to you. NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT FLAVOR ADDED COFFEE There are 4 calories per 8 oz cup Our 100% Arabica beans are carefully selected and purchased direct from the plantation. We then consistently slow roast the beans, gently smoking them at the end of the roast to bring out the finest nuances of flavor. All coffees are air cooled and hand packed immediately after roasting to guarantee freshness. All our coffees are certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union, they are sustainably grown using fair trade principles, shade tree and bird friendly.
